Hanauma Bay & Koko Head
The ride to Hanauma Bay Natural Reserve and State Park is a beautiful 12-mile coastal route. Parking is free and always available for mopeds and bicycles. There is a $25 entry (free for locals and kids 12 & under) and the State of Hawaii requires that every guest watch a short educational orientation video. Starting in April 2021, reservations must be made up to 48 hours in advance for up to 10 people (5 adults and/or 5 kids) to book your orientation video time slot. Snorkel gear is available for rent at the park for $20, or you can bring your own gear. Visit the Hanauma Bay State Park website for more information and to make your reservation.
Add more excitement to your itinerary and embark on the Tantalus Thigh Burner bike route to experience one of Oahu’s most scenic routes, offering breathtaking views of Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean. This challenging yet rewarding ride takes you through lush rainforests and winding roads, perfect for adventurous cyclists seeking a memorable journey.
